The Barry-Brandt Family Visit

The Lils is on the bouncy chair, her daddy is on the couch and they are both snoring! It has been a great day for us here at the Thompson household. Our friends the Brandts came all the way from Tyler just to see Lillian Elizabeth! What an amazing thing to know that so so many people love this little girl!

We are truly blessed with some great friends!

Ginger has been such a great friend to me. I don't know what I would do without her. She supports me and helps me feel like a good mommy, when sometimes, I don't feel that way myself. And she helps me to know that I am not alone in the stuff I am feeling. That is such a great thing.
Plus, she just rocks!
Her whole family is pretty great.

Poor Miles. There are no pictures of him because well, he was inside watching TV. We were too boring for him. I mean, second graders have better things to do than hang out with grownups on the back porch talking about grown up things.

But we have pictures of that Owen, who one day might just marry Lillian.

Lilly Visits Daddy at Work

Yay for a trip to visit Daddy!
The funny thing was, everyone talked about how they now saw Billy with new eyes after seeing him with Lils.
He is pretty much a no nonsense kind of guy at work, so seeing him play with Lilly was a nice change for the people who work with B.
She got to be admired by all the people who work with Daddy and then she got to sit and watch us have lunch. I am sure that was super fun for her.

I love love love the close up of B and L and wish I knew a way to get rid of the picture in the background. Anyone know how to do that? I am not the queen of photoshop.

Yes, Cadbury makes Stride Gum. And yes, they have a ping pong table in their break room.

I was never a boy scout!

So, getting ready for a trip to Plano takes work. It takes planning. It takes packing like you are going on a month long cruise.

Diaper Bag: check
Diapers (enough for several blow outs): Check
Burp Cloths: check
Wipes: check
Pacifier: check
change of clothes just in case she has a blow out: check
Thermos full of hot water for heating up bottle: check
super fancy (but cheap) bottle warmer that you plug into a plug in your car: double check
Bottles to feed her: left at home.

Yeah. Nice move, mommy!
